Karen Walker
Sitting at university studying, I have just spotted a girl very stylishly and unpretentiously dressed. She is wearing my favourite piece from the Karen Walker spring 10 collection.
With beautiful golden peace symbol buttons, verticle navy inspired lining and a back which is tucked at the top and drapes down like a sailor inspired greek gown (oxymoron i know but it works!), the jacket is a almost a piece of art..Well it isnt quite haute couture, perhaps I'm getting ahead of myself...anyway if you live in the vicinity of a Karen Walker store and need a jacket (yes, its waterproof too!) then check check check it!!
To be honest this is a very bad image and definitely does not show the jackets true beauty very well at all. Actually, it kind of kills me to be posting it... I am disappointed in Miss Karen for the way in which she displays the dress in her show. I am trying to find a better pic (Fashion Quarterly Winter shows it well in a shoot) however the university internet is frustratingly slow and this quick study break blogpost is beginning to turn into the (currently illegal in my books) form of procrastination! I shall try to remedy the problem at a latter date.
